I was just thinking…

I was just thinking…

Its mid February, March if you are reading this in the Yodler, and your Board has already met twice to discuss 2011. One of the first items we decided was that all Board meetings should also include a general Membership get together be it for lunch, dinner or simply an ice cream. We feel these get together meetings are important for new Members to meet other Members for old Members to reacquaint themselves with others and for all Members to let the Board know what they’re thinking and what they want to do in 2011.

This year is already shaping up to be a very exciting time. Plans are underway for the annual “Dust Off & Detail” day at Rutland Motorcars in April, the Manchester Car Show in June, a mid-summer “Island Tour” with Val and Rick in So. Hero and of course OktoberFAST. Peter Ohlweiler and Roger Batchelder are working on a couple of dates for Street Survival Schools. Our annual “Tech Day” with Mike Miller is in the works and a few driving events are being planned to see the wonderful sights of Vermont. Where would you like to go?

In 2011 the Board will continue to hold meetings throughout the State for the convenience of the Members. March, 13th we will meet at the Sirloin Saloon in Manchester and in April we will meet in the Burlington area hopefully in conjunction with a local event. Details of the Burlington meeting will be forthcoming on our website www.vtbmwcca.org and by email blast. Our new Webmaster, Hannah McMillen (APPLAUSE), is working diligently with the help of Lindsey McCormick (MORE APPLAUSE) to keep all events and other Member info at your fingertips. We are now also available on Facebook thanks to the efforts of Kelly Batchelder (APPLAUSE).

We, the Board, are doing our best to make your membership more rewarding. We need your help with ideas, comments/criticism and support at the events we sponsor. Please, keep in touch with us at info@vtbmwcca.org so that you will be heard.

This is your Chapter, be involved.

Until later,

George Ohlweiler, President
